Background:
 Benjamin Omotayo Adewuyi, (born, July 29, 1956), a Professor of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, is a former head of Department, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, former Sub Dean, School of engineering and Engineering Technology and currently is the Director, Quality Assurance Management, Federal University of Technology, Akure. He is a native of Ado-Ekiti in Ado Local Government of Ekiti State, Nigeria. He attended Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti for his secondary education, and for his undergraduate and postgraduate education, received B.Sc./M.Sc. (Consolidated) degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (MICIC) in Moscow and his doctorate degree in Production Metallurgical Engineering from Federal University of Technology, Akure. He specialized in advance engineering material development especially for the automobile, oil and gas and machine industries. His research interest include: ferrous and non ferrous alloys development, corrosion studies and development of inhibitor using nanobiomaterials. Recently he had been working in the area of Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials, nanocomposites for structural applications and engaged in feasibility studies, metallurgical process and equipment design. He engaged in several community services including being a member of Ondo State Committee on Industrialisation and Consultant to the State on Foundry development for Farm Implement production. He is a COREN Registered Engineer, a past President of the Nigerian Metallurgical Society. and also a Fellow of Metallurgical Society of Nigeria and also a Fellow of Material Science and Technology Society of Nigeria.
